Teresa was our real estate agent during our move to Ottawa from Saskatchewan. Due to the pandemic, she did video call home tours. No place was off limits or too far for her to drive to. She described the smell of the homes as well as pointed out good and bad features of the homes. When we were able to finally house hunt in person, she arranged a day of home tours. The night before our day of home tours, I saw a home that I loved. I texted the listing to Teresa and despite it being after work hours, she was able to get us into that home the next morning. Once we knew that this home was the one, Teresa got our offer drawn up, signed and sent to the sellers’ realtor. She advised us on the process and home prices. She was able to get our offer accepted before others got to see the home, avoiding a bidding war. Before this I was crying, thinking that we would never find a home that I liked. Teresa remained positive that we would find our home. Military moves are always stressful and buying a home during a pandemic and in a very hot housing market with little inventory added another level of stress, but Teresa was an enormous help. Teresa is a military spouse and understands the benefits, entitlements and process of a military move. She arranged for a home inspector who did a very thorough job. She also connected us with a lawyer. Both the home inspector and lawyer were familiar with military moves which made everything so much easier and stress free. All of these things greatly reduced our stress level since we are on the other side of the country and did not know who to use.

We were first introduced to her by a friend of whom is RCPM, and their family was being moved to Ottawa. Since we were also relocating due to a military posting, our family took their advice to tenaciously attain her as our realtor as well.

Right from the beginnings we felt very comfortable with her services and could recognize her sensibilities as a realtor. Shes very familiar with the buying process, has an eye for detail, with different fit and finish as well as function of what a home means for the patron, is very familiar and proud of her city and is EXTREMELY committed to her job and to us. She made us feel like while we were in her care, we were her primary focus. She was hardly ever distracted by other probable clients and made us feel like we were the only ones that mattered. All the while, professionally dealing with all the other sales that she had on her plate in a very respectable and tasteful manner.

We weren’t having much luck our first 2 days and were so discouraged. Come the 3rd day we were feeling defeated. Little did we know, that while we were in a panic and having a pitty party, she was busy burning the midnight oil to find us a home with the aspects we were looking for. On the final day she presented us with an option for a house we weren’t considering initially but in the end, turned out to be THE ONE!

I appreciate the fact that she can listen to our needs very attentively yet has no issues with thinking outside of the box to find options based on our likes and dislikes.

We chose the house in a matter of minutes.

Once the offer was accepted we were not surprised to know that the lawyers appointments we already set in place prior to us moving up from Halifax. She made the paperwork a seamless transition.

On the last day of our house shopping when she picked us up (as she ALWAYS did. We never had to meet her anywhere! Front door service all the way), there was fresh homemade from scratch warm banana muffins waiting to greet us and later that afternoon we all went out for a celebratory lunch!!

Even once the house was sold, she didn’t move on like we were just a paycheck. Oh no! We had a slight issue with part of our contract for an appliance. She wouldn’t take no for an answer and the issue was resolved in a flash!

Not only is she our realtor, but I’m very proud to say that she is now also a friend. We’ve been invited with welcome arms and great hospitality any time we visit her. She’s a terrific woman, who genuinely has a big heart to help not only her customers but society in general and is always giving back to the community. She’s a force to be reckoned with and someone who deserves our respect in turn. A million times yes, I would refer her to everyone and anyone. You will be please you did.
